The Events Speakers Awards Gallery The IGC Global Business Convention from 30th May to 1st June at the Holiday Inn London, an event that has undoubtedly set a new benchmark for excellence. IGC Business Summit Overview Aim:To provide a platform for students to access internships and apprenticeships, while offering businesses access to students who are eager to train and work with them. Mission:The IGC Business Summit was designed to bridge the gap between education and employment. It connects employers with students to create a talent pipeline of skilled, job-ready young individuals. Key Initiatives: Business Summit and Industry Engagement: The summit offers students valuable insights into industry expectations. It provides a platform for employers to discuss critical workforce skills such as interview techniques, emerging trends, and the importance of foundational skills like English and math. Work Experience and Industry Placements: The program emphasizes hands-on experience by encouraging businesses to offer placements and training opportunities. This helps students build practical skills essential for long-term career success. Addressing Skills Gaps: The initiative targets skill shortages across various sectors such as manufacturing, engineering, hospitality, health, construction, and digital. It promotes training and re-skilling to ensure businesses have access to a qualified and adaptable workforce. Apprenticeships for Employers: Employers are encouraged to hire apprentices—both new recruits and current employees—to reduce training costs and address skill shortages. Government incentives are available to support businesses in hiring apprentices. For Universities: The program works in collaboration with universities to align academic curricula with evolving industry needs. This ensures students graduate with the skills required in the modern job market. Gallery

IGC Beauties Fundraiser IGC Beauties Fundraiser: A Celebration of Community and Compassion At IGC, we’re more than a community; we’re a dynamic force for personal growth and positive change. Celebrating remarkable individuals, we provide a platform for members to share, connect, and initiate community projects. We are committed to business as well as social work and creating awareness for different causes, so always willing to partner or collaborate with individuals and organisations with the same core values. We have Global Chairs, Country Chairs, and Regional Chairs. Each Global Chair nominates maximum Country Chairs, to help foster more leaders. In turn, the Country Chairs nominate Regional Chairs in their country. The purpose is: if we as Chairs with our volunteers do good work, others will join us to make their local communities and world a better place. As we believe nothing is impossible to achieve if we all unite and work together. IGC (Ishkama Global CIC) held their Diwali fundraiser in Nayland Village Hall, Colchester. With the winters approaching, many people will be struggling to meet basic needs. All the funds raised through this event will go directly to charities, making a meaningful difference. The event gave a platform for women and teens to showcase their talents and build their confidence. This gave an opportunity for women to step out of their work. We are happy to share that we have raised over £1000 and hope this will make a difference to a few. The Causes We Donated Towards: Support Our Paras, UKIs the only charity which exists solely to support The Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces, looking after veterans, serving soldiers, and families within our Airborne community.They provide welfare assistance to veterans, serving soldiers, and families to complement or fill the gaps in State provision.This support includes, but is not limited to: Covering travel costs for a serving soldier whose child is in the hospital Buying new household goods for families who are struggling Contributing towards funeral costs Sending Christmas hampers to their veterans and widows in need St Helena HospiceIs a Colchester-based charity which provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care to local people facing incurable illness in north east Essex, supporting them, their families, friends and carers.They provide individual care and total support wherever it is needed; at home, over the phone with a 24/7 advice line, and at the hospice.They also help adults in north Essex to cope with grief following the death of a loved one, regardless of where or how they died.They reach out to members of our community, helping them make their own choices and live with dignity, focusing on their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Hitaishi, India10-month-old baby girl diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1—the most severe form of the disease—is in dire need of a life-saving gene therapy drug, Zolgensma. The total cost of the drug is $2 million. Christmas with Hope 2024Hope Raisers Global Foundation, Nigeria – an initiative to give Hope to the disadvantaged during Christmas. They aimed at feeding 1850 households this Christmas. ARESOC: Les Reparateurs (One for One Child), FranceIs an orphanage by Tabita Makoko who was an orphan herself. We aim to donate for their stationery items and other educational supplies. Tahreem, PakistanAn autistic child who needs ongoing therapy. Born to a very poor family, Tahreem has no hopes of getting therapy or any medication. We need to help her family to support her medical needs. SAFE: Sibsagar Autism Friendly Emphasis, IndiaIn one of the remote parts of India, there is a lack of awareness and early intervention for autistic children.The parents have to take their children to distant cities for a diagnosis only to be left helpless later.SAFE aims to provide an affordable place where they can receive early intervention for autistic children and awareness in the society. It is an IGC sister project which needs to now cater to the children below poverty line.
