Dr Renuka Thakore is an internationally recognised sustainability leader, academic, and social entrepreneur dedicated to empowering individuals, strengthening institutions, and driving positive global change through collaboration.

She is the Founder and CEO of the Global Sustainable Futures Network (GSFN), a global platform connecting policymakers, researchers, businesses, and grassroots communities to advance inclusive solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through GSFN, she has led multi-country initiatives spanning climate resilience, education, biodiversity, governance, and green livelihoods, with a strong focus on ensuring that Global South voices are meaningfully represented in global decision-making.

Dr Thakore is also an academic focusing on bridging law, policy, sustainability, and social justice. Her academic and professional expertise sits at the intersection of climate governance, responsible investment, ESG, and community-led development.
As Global Chair for Sustainability at Ishkama Global Change, Dr Thakore brings a systems-level perspective to sustainability—championing approaches that empower individuals, foster institutional growth, and translate global ambition into locally grounded impact. She is particularly passionate about partnership-driven solutions that align economic opportunity with environmental responsibility and social equity.
