About Me

Tammy Dawson – Doughty – Building Networks, Shaping Futures

From the fields of Lincolnshire to the halls of Westminster, Tammy Doughty has carved out a career defined by connecting people, industries, and ideas. Now Director of Public Affairs & Strategic Relationships at Stream Bioenergy, Tammy is spearheading conversations around clean energy, sustainability, and investment – a natural evolution for someone who has spent years bridging sectors and championing collaboration.

Her reputation was further cemented during her tenure as Head of the UK Fresh Produce Network (UKFPN), which she took from a local initiative to a national platform. Under her leadership, the network hosted House of Lords round tables and showcases engaged parliamentarians through the formation of an All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG), and delivered sector-shaping events that gave growers, retailers, and policymakers a collective voice.

Before UKFPN, Tammy was appointed Director of Marketing & Strategic Relationships at GoGlobal Trade, working alongside Lord Waverley to build international bridges for UK businesses. That role saw her orchestrating campaigns that opened doors across emerging markets, positioning British companies in front of new trade opportunities and strengthening global connections at the highest levels.

Her wider career spans education, policy, and international relations. At Boston College, she served as Head of Commercial, building partnerships that linked learning with industry.

She also plays a pivotal role at the Pakistani Business Council, helping to forge relationships with ministers and peers to strengthen bilateral trade.

Her influence stretches beyond the UK. As a former Senator of the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF).

Tammy has advised on global trade and investment flows.

She has also acted as Director of Public Affairs for The Bread and Butter Thing (TBBT), one of the UK’s fastest-growing food redistribution charities, where she was tasked to build supply chain partnerships that brought surplus food from farm gates to communities in need.

This year, she also accepted a new role as Ambassador for the Food and Enterprise Zone at the University of Lincoln, reflecting her deep-rooted passion for ensuring Lincolnshire – the county that shaped her – remains at the heart of the UK’s agri-food and clean energy conversations.

What ties all these chapters together is Tammy’s ability to see the bigger picture while keeping her feet firmly on the ground. Whether standing in front of farmers in Spalding, addressing ministers in Parliament, or negotiating investment deals for renewable energy, she brings the same mix of authenticity, vision, and drive.

“I’ve always believed that progress comes from connection,” she says. “When business, government, and communities come together, that’s when you create real change.”

It’s a belief that has shaped her journey – and one that continues to guide her mission at Stream Bioenergy as she works to put Lincolnshire, and the UK, at the forefront of the clean energy revolution.

Beyond her headline roles, Tammy also spent 12 years working in social housing, where she represented the organisation in legal proceedings, championed safeguarding, and developed a pioneering person-centric support service. That service became her proudest achievement of the era – helping society’s most vulnerable individuals to stay safe, access the right help, and prevent homelessness before it happened.

Her commitment to growth and learning began early. Straight out of higher education, she was awarded a highly competitive Medical Physics and Nuclear Medicine scholarship – an achievement she remains deeply grateful for. And now, as she looks to the future, Tammy is preparing to undertake further professional development in politics and international relations, adding yet another layer to an already remarkable career dedicated to making change happen.
