Alex Wesonga is a Kenyan Youth Ambassador to the World Leaders Consortium and the President of the Busia County Universities and Colleges Students Association (BCUCSA), representing over 5,000 students across Busia County. He is a passionate youth leader, climate advocate, and SDGs champion, with a focus on governance, education, and sustainable development.

Alex has engaged in both local and international platforms, including the African Youth Forum at the United Nations, the Pan-African Youth Adaptation Forum with the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA), and youth dialogues with government and civil society.

Beyond leadership, he is also skilled in digital communications, advocacy, and community mobilization, where he leverages media to amplify youth voices and drive impactful initiatives. His work centers on empowering young people with the knowledge, tools, and opportunities to participate in policy-making, climate action, and entrepreneurship, thereby contributing to Kenya’s and Africa’s sustainable development agenda.
